Ruby Reichardt was born in The Netherlands and attended Willem de Kooning, Academy of Fine Arts, in Rotterdam. She moved to New York in 1984 to attend Syracuse University and pursued a MFA in Illustration and Design. Ruby works in a variety of mediums including acrylic, oil, pastel, and collage. 

Drawing upon her experiences and environments, Ruby’s work reflects the human experience of moving and creating, joy and loss, life and death, dreams, and the passage of time. Each piece captures a unique story, place, or memory and through recurring patterns, textures, colors, and images she invites us all to see or feel our own truth, or our own experience. 

With work featured in numerous exhibitions,  galleries, and private collections.  Ruby continues her studies at the Montclair Art Museum. She currently resides in upstate New York and spends part of her time in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
